Weather Watch! As detailed in the Round 5 News Notice at the beginning of the week the host clubs and OXL continue to monitor events. Currently the position is that a decision will be taken on Saturday regarding the viability of the fixture and a notice will be posted here on the League website accordingly.

Participating clubs may enter runners prior to the season and in accordance with the updated Rules on the website also included in the Team Managers' Guide, and will issue a number to their runners.
Runners may not enter as individuals.
Guest runners may be permitted, but again only in accordance with the updated Rules as well as included in the Team Managers' Guide.

Attention All Athletes: As per the League Rules (see Rule 20): Any runners wearing headphones will be disqualified.

The races are being held on private land with the kind permission of the owner. Please treat all areas with the utmost respect as we would like to be invited back in future years. To mitigate against the potential loss of the future use of this new venue the same precautionary measures will be in force as is now standard practice for OXL fixtures. As a consquence urinating anywhere in public at the venue will not be tolerated. Anyone seen urinating in public will be identified and their club informed. The individual identified will be disqualified from the race and banned from the League. Sufficient toilet facilities will be provided. Please use them.

Spikes must NOT be worn in the toilets (linoleum floor surface), in the Barn (wooden floor), or any other signed locations onsite as directed by the event organisers.
No dogs are allowed anywhere on the site at this venue.

Please Note:

The car parking facilities will be arranged by the hosts. All vehicles are required to follow the signs and marshal instructions to park in the designated parking area.
Limited space is available for race officials (priority), marshals (priority) and juniors only via the main site entrance.
The main parking facilities are not accessed via the main entrance to the Hill End Centre. Again, please follow the parking signs as directed.
There is a charge of £4 per car to cover the costs of running the event. Lift-sharing is also encouraged to help ease the pressure on the parking facilities.

Directions
Via A420 from Swindon: Follow the A420 all the way to the junction with the A34. At the roundabout take the fourth exit to go back on the A420 AWAY from Oxford. After 0.5 miles take the exit to Farmoor/Eynsham (B4044).At the bottom of the slip road take the right turn towards Farmoor and Eynsham. Drive for 0.5 miles and follow the signs to the race.
Via A34 from North: Follow the A34 south to the Botley (A420) junction. At the roundabout, take the third exit to follow the A420, signposted Swindon. After 0.5 miles take the exit to Farmoor/Eynsham (B4044).At the bottom of the slip road take the right turn towards Farmoor and Eynsham. Drive for 0.5 miles and follow the signs to the race.
Via A34 from South: Follow the A34 north to the Botley (A420) junction. At the roundabout, take the first exit to follow the A420, signposted Swindon. After 0.5 miles take the exit to Farmoor/Eynsham (B4044).At the bottom of the slip road take the right turn towards Farmoor and Eynsham. Drive for 0.5 miles and follow the signs to the race.

Please Note:

All vehicles will be instructed to exit the venue parking facility by turning left onto the B4044. This is for safety reasons and would appreciate your co-operation.

2018 Farmoor XC Course Maps

Refreshments
Refreshments (tea, coffee, flap-jacks, bacon rolls, etc.) will be organised by the venue. We would grateful if you could please support this.

Presentations

There will be 3 ceremonies on the day as follows:
11.15 (or as close as possible) - U9 & U11 Girls & Boys: This ceremony will include the awards for the top 3 and the award of medals for all children who have completed at least 4 of the 5 races this season.
13:00 (or as close as possible) - Oxon County Championships: This ceremony will include outstanding presentations to prize winners in the Oxfordshire County Cross Country Championships held in conjunction with the Round 3 fixture on 7th January at Adderbury.
13:15 (or as close as possible) - U13 & upwards: This ceremony will include an announcement of the top 3 individuals in the U9 & U11 Girls & Boys categories, the awards for the top 3 individuals for all the remaining categories, overall and team prizes.

Please Note: The presentations will take place in the Barn. Spikes or muddy are not permitted to worn in this building.

Age Groups for 2017-18 season

These are all according to age at midnight on the age date (31 August 2017), except for U9s - see below.

U9 are age 7 or 8 on the age date, but the age 7s on the age date must have reached age 8 by the day of the event to comply with our minimum age of 8 on the day;
U11 are age 9 or 10 on the age date;
U13 are age 11 or 12 on the age date;
U15 are age 13 or 14 on the age date;
U17 are age 15 or 16 on the age date;
U20 are age 17, 18 or 19 on the age date;
Senior Women are age 20 to 34 on the age date;
Vet Women V1 are age 35 to 44; V2 are age 45 to 54; V3 are 55 or over on the age date;
Senior Men are age 20 to 39 on the age date;
Vet Men V1 are age 40 to 49; V2 are age 50 to 59; V3 are age 60 or over on the age date.
